Funeral Services for Carolyn Dyches Still, 84, of Barnwell, SC will be held at three o’clock p.m., Sunday December 3, 2023 at Ashleigh Baptist Church with the Reverend Joe Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be D. J. Boots, Luke Hutto, James Randall, Austin Weatherford, Phillip Weatherford, and Scott Weatherford. The family has requested that memorial contributions may be given to Folk Funeral Home, P.O. Box 367, Williston, SC 29853. Carolyn passed away with her family by her side on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Carlyle Senior Care of Blackville.
Born in Barnwell County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Leman Dyches and Ruby Clara Hutson Dyches Campbell and was married to the late Freddie Still. She was a member of Ashleigh Baptist Church where she enjoyed helping with Vacation Bible School, was a Sunday School teacher, and had a great time traveling on several senior trips with church friends. She loved taking care of people and taught at Ashleigh Place Girls Home. She enjoyed cooking for her family and cherished every minute that she could spend with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include daughters, Sheila (D.J.) Boots of Blackville, Patricia (John) Weatherford of Holly Hill; a son, Randy Campbell of Barnwell; sister Betty Cook; grandchildren, Scott (Kayla) Weatherford, Phillip (Felicia) Weatherford, Tammy Garrett, Jeremy Campbell, Jenna (James) Randall, Angel Still, and Savannah Still; several great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild on the way along with numerous nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.
In addition to her husband, Freddie Still, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael G. Still; a sister, Hazel Dyches and brothers, James Campbell, Larry Campbell and Jimmy Dyches.
