Carl "Bubba" Richard Charpia, Sr.

Carl “Bubba” Richard Charpia, Sr., 71, of Charleston, SC passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024.  A private family service will be held.

Born in Charleston, SC he was a son of the late Grady Hamilton Charpia and Alice L. Knight.  Bubba was a carpenter and had a big heart for others. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines.

Survivors include his daughters, Jessica Tucker of Ocala, FL and Darenda Schwartz of Citra, FL; a son, Carl “Rik” Charpia, Jr. of Apple Creek, OH; his sisters, Marsha Charpia, Linda Reeves, Joyce Duncan and Diane Miller; a brother, Ken Charpia and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Pansy Leppert and Betty Charpia and two brothers, Zernie and Wayne Charpia.
