Brad Sweat Obituary

Graveside funeral services for Timothy Brad Sweat, 41, of Springfield, SC will be held twelve o’clock noon, Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery by the airport with the Reverend Jamie Wootten officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to Folk Funeral Home, P.O. Box 367, Williston, SC 29853. Due to the current pandemic and the CDC regulations, social distancing and other guidelines will be in place; facemasks are requested. The service will be live-streamed on our Official Folk Funeral Home - Live Stream Facebook page for those unable to attend. Brad passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021.

Born in Allendale County, SC, he was a son of Marie Annette Ashba and the late Tommy Sweat, Jr. He worked as a hydraulic directional driller for fiber optic cable companies. He loved to hunt and fish as well as grill and entertain his family and friends. Brad was an avid Clemson Tiger Fan, so please wear your Clemson attire in his memory.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife Christie Michelle Hutson Sweat of Springfield; his daughter Patience Goins; his grandson Neo Torres both of Newberry, SC; his bonus sons Ian (Taylor) Quattlebaum of Norfolk, VA, Joel Quattlebaum of Springfield, and Jase Quattlebaum of Springfield; his sisters Tammy Ashba and her fiancé Barry of Swansea, SC, Angie (Russell) Overton, Amanda Smith all of Williston; his brother Robby Sweat of Aiken; his maternal grandmother Helen Griffin Ashba; his nieces and nephews Courtney (Erik) Still, Cody Creech, Andrew Overton, Evan Overton, Helen Overton, Bryson Smith, Austin Smith and Cailey Gleaton; his aunts Gloria Sweat, Ann (Terry) Presley, Joanna Ashba, Donna (Don) Mole; his uncles Darill (Levonne) Sweat, Bobby (Candy) Ashba and James “Bo” (Regina) Ashba.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandad Robert “Bob” Ashba; his paternal grandparents Frank and Florrie Still Sweat and his uncle Frank Sweat.
