Funeral services for Bobby Croft, 79, of Blackville, SC will be held at eleven o’clock a.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2023 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Reverends Timmy Gunnells and Kenneth Dodson officiating; burial will follow in the Siloam United Methodist Church Cemetery, Highway # 3 South, Barnwell, SC. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Tuesday, December 12th at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial and Honors Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105. Bobby passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023 after a wonderful day celebrating Christmas with his family.
Born in Bamberg County, he was a son of the late Edward J. Croft and Ellen Argo Croft and was married to the late Barbara Ann Brown Croft for 44 years. He previously worked at the Clemson Experiment Station in Blackville, SC, loved fishing the Edisto River, and calling the Big Dog radio. He was a wonderful DeDe to all of his grandchildren and was a humorous and interesting storyteller, keeping everyone’s attention with endless laughter. He enjoyed going down to the Produce Stand in Blackville and visiting with his friends. Bobby will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his daughter, Angie (Randy) Morris; a son Jeff (Sara) Croft all of Barnwell, SC; a brother-in-law, Zack Fogle; grandchildren, Rolin (Misty) Morris, Blake (Bre) Morris, Bryson (Shelby) Morris, Katelyn (Coty) Hunt, Logan Croft, and Kelsey Croft; great-grandchildren, Zack Morris, Conner Morris, Madelynn Morris, Caleb Morris, Reese “Doodlebug” Morris; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Barbara Croft, he was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Makenna Morris; all of his sisters, Susie Croft Hutson, Louise Fogle, Beatrice Williams, Melba Croft, and Julia Ethel Croft and all of his brothers, Everette Croft, E.J. Croft, and John Wesley Croft and a step-daughter, Sherri Blankenship.
