Blanche (Bessinger) Crider

Funeral services for Blanche Bessinger Crider, 94, of Williston, SC will be held eleven o’clock a.m., Monday, July 27, 2020 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Reverend Tom Baker officiating; burial will be in the Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, Inc., Orangeburg. Due to the current pandemic and the CDC regulations, social distancing and other guidelines will be in place. Memorial contributions may be sent to Elko Baptist Church, P.O. Box 277, Elko, SC 29826. Mrs. Blanche passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020.

Born in Ehrhardt, SC, she was a daughter of the late Arey Bessinger and Maude Ester Copeland Bessinger Ayer; she was married to the late Julius V. Crider, Sr. Mrs. Blanche was a member of Elko Baptist Church and the Fidelis/Clara Hitt Sunday School Class. She was also a seamstress and a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughter Jacquelyn “Jackie” Schumpert of Williston; grandchildren Tammy (Robby) Rimes, Michael Schumpert, Karen (Kevin) Webster and Brian (Ashley) Crider; great grandchildren Tres Rimes, Peyton Rimes, Sierra Rimes, Corbin Schumpert, Matthew (Taylor) Webster, Mitchell Webster, Nathan Crider, Jake Crider, and Anna Crider; a daughter-in-law Jo Crider; sister-in-law Kay Crider Sandifer and a number of beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Julius V. “Jay” Crider, Jr., her brother Lloyd Ayer; sisters Lena Kittrell, Annie Mae McDonald and Virginia Ehrhardt; son-in-law Wayne Schumpert; great grandson MacKenzie Webster and a brother-in-law Bennie Crider.
