Betty Marion (Givens) Arnold

Betty Marion Givens Arnold, 86 of Graniteville, SC passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026. Funeral services will be held at eleven o’clock a.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2026 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Long Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Monday at the funeral home in Williston, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.

Born in Leigh, Barnwell County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Edward Marion Givens and Marguree Ross. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church for many years. She sang in the church choir, taught Sunday School and also lead the A.W.A.N.A. children’s group. She retired from the Savannah River Site as a HR Manager after 25 years of service. Betty and her family loved music, she traveled and played music with her brother and sisters for many years and was an Atlanta Braves Baseball fan. She adored her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Kevin (Crystal) Arnold of Graniteville, SC; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Arnold; grandchildren, Catherine, Danielle, Kevin II and Abby; great grandchildren, Trent, Evan, Maddie, Kel and Landon; sisters Christine Brock of Walhalla, SC, Rose Ellen Givens of Williston, SC, Kaye Bazemore of Blackville, SC and a sister-in-law, Kay Givens of Aiken, SC.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Hitt Arnold; a sister, Lillie Mae Givens, and a brother, Edward Marion “Junior” Givens, Jr.
