With profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Bertie Faye “Mama Faye” Hair. She peacefully left this world on October 1st, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Born on July 11th, 1940, her journey was one of nurturing, educating, creating, and inspiring—a life dedicated to enriching the lives of those around her. Bertie was a technology teacher at Cope Area Career Center and Barnwell Area Career Center. With patience and dedication, she empowered her students to reach their full potential, instilling in them a lifelong love of learning. In her role as a seamstress, Bertie was a true artist. Her creations were tokens of love and comfort, treasured by those fortunate enough to receive them.
