Barry Wayne Blankenship, Jr.

Funeral services for Barry Wayne Blankenship, Jr., 47, of Blackville, SC will be held at eleven o’clock a.m., Tuesday, June 22, 2021 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with Reverend Robert Mahuron officiating; burial will follow in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery by the airport. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.

Born in Allendale, SC, he was a son of Mary Gillam Blankenship and the late Barry Wayne Blankenship, Sr. He was a supervisor at Augusta Fiberglass. Everyone that knew him knew that he was an avid Carolina Gamecock fan, enjoyed cooking and loved his music. 

In addition to his mother, Mary Blankenship, survivors include his wife Emily Wood Blankenship; his daughters Breanna Whitney Marie Blankenship (Rodney Allen) Chavis of Barnwell, Rosemary Nicole Blankenship, Raini Lynn Blankenship, Caroline Hope Blankenship all of Blackville; son Justin Bruce Blankenship of Blackville; a sister Amy Blankenship of Lebanon, TN, brothers Joseph (Donna) Blankenship of Scottsboro, KY and Ryan Blankenship of Blackville; father-in-law and mother-in-law Michael (Tammy Gleaton) Wood; nephews Jace Willitt, Jacob Blankenship along with 11 additional nieces and nephews, 1 brother-in-law and 2 sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Eleanor Lianna Chavis.
