Ryndie and Rhonda announce the passing of their beautiful mother, Barbara M. Wilson who passed away at her home on February 18, 2024, in Bamberg, SC surrounded by the love of her family. Barbara was born in Vidalia Georgia, to the late W.T. & Effie Lou McKay and moved to S.C. when she was 7. Eventually the family settled in Bamberg, SC and Barbara met the love of her life, the late James Willie Wilson. Together they raised Ryndie Wilson Brusco (George) of Sarasota, Florida, and Rhonda Wilson Burgess (Dave) of Aiken, SC. A Memorial Service is planned for Thursday, February 22nd at 11 AM at Bamberg County Memory Gardens, 14836 Heritage Hwy., Bamberg, SC 29003.
Barbara loved spending time with her daughters and being a grandmother! Barbara was a special Nanny to Brandon Morris of Aiken, Anna Brusco of Tampa, Florida and Emily Brusco of Winter Park, Florida. Special love to Vega who sat at her side during her worst days. Love to her niece Pam (Steve) Thompson of Beaufort, SC. Her great nephews Jeffrey (Meghen) Thompson of Beaufort and Eric (Paige) Thompson and their children Rebecca and Adam of Beaufort, SC. All were so kind to make special trips to see her. Many thanks to Brad Hudson and Perry Hutto for visiting, communion and praying with her. We also appreciate the fine care that our mother received through Amedisys. Heather, Dawn, Betsy, Josephine, and Kayla were wonderful to Mom and us!
She was predeceased by her Grandmother Annie Wilkes McKay whom she loved dearly, her brother-in-law Tommy Gray of Beaufort, SC, her niece Judy Pinkston of Easley, SC and her loving sister Juanita Gray of Beaufort, SC.
Memorial contributions may be given to Bamberg First Baptist Church, 11823 Heritage Hwy., Bamberg, SC 29003.
Our Mom leaves us to stroll through heaven with our Dad.
