Barbara (Nettles) Proctor

Funeral services for Barbara Jean Nettles Proctor, 87, of Windsor, SC will be held at three o’clock p.m., Wednesday, March 8, 2023 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Reverend David Richardson officiating; burial will follow in the Williston Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Barbara passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023.

Born in Orangeburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Nettles and Mimmie Agnes Williams and was married to the late George Franklin Proctor. She will be remembered by her children as being a devoted and loving wife to her husband Frank for 57 years.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved flowers and gardening as well as baking and sewing. She loved music and taught herself to play the piano.

Survivors include her sons, Larry Franklin (Gina) Proctor of North Augusta, SC and Barry Proctor of Aiken, SC; her daughters, Lisa Barwick of Windsor, SC and Barbie (David) Richardson of Williston, SC; grandchildren, Casey (Jordan) Richardson, Rebecca (Randal) Merkey, Michael Barwick, Brian (Allissa) Barwick, and Josh Johnson; great grandchildren, Gianna, Raelynn, Barrett, Everleigh, Weston, Aaliyah, Trace, and Matthew, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Frank, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Stanley Nettles, Jr., Audrey N. Risher, and Margie N. McClure and her granddaughter, Amber Johnson.

The family would like to thank Pruitt Home Health, SC House Calls, and Trinity Hospice for their compassion and support during this difficult time. And especially to Ginger Kearse for her love and detailed care who put a big smile on Mom’s face. She loved your company and thought of you as a valued friend.
