Barbara “Bobbie” Bellamy Marshman passed away at her home on Friday, November 16, 2018, at the age of 65. Bobbie was born on August 27, 1953, to the late Carrie Vernell Ballington and John DeVon Bellamy. She attended Williston schools and graduated from Williston-Elko High School in 1971. Bobbie attended Lander University, where she studied business. She married Myron Zeigler in 1973 and had two daughters, Sally and Jessica. Following their divorce, Bobbie moved back to Williston in 1989 with her children. She began working in the local banks as a teller, working for both Enterprise Bank and First Citizens Bank in Williston. In 2004, Bobbie married the late David English Marshman. They enjoyed thirteen years together prior to his death in 2017.
Bobbie is survived by her daughters, Sally (Tal) Fickling of Blackville, and Jessi (Allen) Ford of Boca Chica, Panama, as well as two grandchildren, Tollie and Rynn Fickling; her siblings, Carolyn (Tommy) Perkins, Steve (Cindy) Bellamy, and Elaine (Dan) Strawbridge, and well as a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a private burial on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, followed by visitation at Folk Funeral Home from noon-2pm. Memorials may be made to the Williston Cemetery Fund, PO Box 367, Williston, SC 29853.
