Barbara (Schubkegel) Hogan

Wilma Barbara Hogan, 88, of Williston, SC passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at six o’clock p.m., Thursday, April 9, 2026 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in Barbara’s memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Barnwell Animal Advocates, P.O. Box 1924, Barnwell, SC 29812.

Born in Lakewood, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Martin Schubkegel, Sr. and Julia Verlick Schubkegel. She was a retired Mortgage Broker having worked in Real Estate Sales. She loved to travel and was a member of the Moose Lodge.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Dianne Applegate of Williston, SC; two grandsons, Andrew Applegate (Ashley) and Carl Schlatmann; two great grandchildren, Oliver Applegate and Diane Padgett.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carrie A. Henderson; a son, Roger Applegate and a brother, Martin Schubkegel, Jr.
