George Aubrey Carroll, 88, of Williston, SC passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 5, 2026. Funeral services will be held at three o’clock p.m., Sunday, February 8, 2026 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Reverend Dean Deer officiating; burial will follow in the Williston Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jason Ardis, Kevin Carroll, Stewart Carroll, Tim Givens, Jacob Hair and Robbie McAlhaney.
Born in Barnwell County, SC, he was the son of the late Weston G. Carroll and Olar Jones Carroll. He retired from Savannah River Site having worked in the Environmental Lab for a number of years. He loved spending time with this grandchildren and fishing. He especially enjoyed his yearly fishing trips to Florida. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran having served in Japan during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his sons, Wayne (Dawn) Carroll and Mark (Eloise) Carroll all of Williston, SC; a sister Barbara Faye Carroll Shaffer of Columbia, SC; his grandchildren, Kevin (Jennifer) Carroll, Kimberly (Brandon) Hanna, Stewart (Kellie) Carroll, Lance Blume, Hayley Blume, Missy Murrell, and Corey Lockwood; his great grandchildren, Destiny (Jacob) Elliott, Skyla Carroll, Harlie Carroll, and Finn Carroll; a great-great granddaughter, Wren Elliott along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Randy Carroll and a brother-in-law, Steve Shaffer.
