Arthur "Art" Johnson, Sr.

Arthur David Johnson, Sr., 88, of Blackville, SC passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023. A private family service will be held at a later date.   The family would like to thank the staff at Carlyle Senior Care Center of Williston for their loving care shown to Mr. Johnson during his stay with them.

Born in Ashland, KY, he was the son of the late Paul Wesley Johnson and Mary Elizabeth Sousley Johnson and was the widower of Jennie Lidy Johnson. He retired as a store manager from Heilig-Meyers.

Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara (Steven) Still of Blackville, SC, Dianna Wesson of Lake Mary, FL, Donna (Russell) Sukhia of Virginia, and Gail (Chuck) Bender of Oregon; grandchildren, Michael Bodie of Aiken, SC and Stephen Still of Easley, SC.

He was preceded in death by a son, Arthur David Johnson, Jr.
