Alice Marie (Hiers) Batchler

Funeral Services for Alice Marie Hiers Batchler, 76, of Gaston, SC will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Friendship Baptist Church, 5801 Friendship Road, Barnwell, SC 29812 with the Reverend Jim Parnell officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:30 p.m. until the time of the service in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Alice passed away at home on Friday, August 8, 2025.

Born in Barnwell County, SC she was a daughter of the late Frank Hiers and Mildred Hartzog Hiers and was previously married to the late Ronnie Batchler. Alice loved her family especially her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading her Bible and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Travis (Nichole) Batchler of Gaston; a half daughter, Melanie (Matt) Delpit of Las Vagas; her grandchildren, Tyler Lee Batchler and Cynthia Marie Batchler; two sisters, Shelby Jean Kittrell of Canaan and Deborah (Wayne) Croft of Barnwell and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph and Jimmy Hiers.
