William Calvin (Bill) Mundy, Sr.

Funeral services for William Calvin “Bill” Mundy, Sr., 77, of Williston, SC will be held at three o’clock p.m., Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Winfield Heights Baptist Church with the Reverend Jamie Wootten officiating. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Monday at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC. Memorial contributions may be given to Winfield Heights Kindergarten Renovation, 315 Chester St., Williston, SC 29853. Bill passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019.

Born in Winnsboro, SC, he was a son of the late Harold Halbrook Mundy, Sr. and Juanita Clinkscales Mundy. Bill was a member of Winfield Heights Baptist Church, he previously owned and operated The Dairy Bar and The Dairy Bar Farm for many years. He was also an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He retired after 15 years of service as a warden for the South Carolina Forestry Commission. Bill enjoyed spending time and visiting with his many friends at River’s Pharmacy and Hardee’s of Williston.

Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years Donné Benson Mundy; sons and daughters-in-law Billy (Lisa) Mundy, Hal (Shannon) Mundy all of Williston; grandchildren Kaitlyn (Keith) Augustine, Kelsey (Joel) Cheek, and Dalton Mundy; great granddaughters Rayleigh Cheek and Presley Augustine; sister Cathy M. (Guy) Eichman of Anderson; brother Daniel A. “Danny” (Beverly) Mundy of Gaston; sister-in-law Debbie Mundy  of Evans, GA.

He was preceded in death by brothers Harold H. Mundy, Jr. and Steven R. “Steve” Mundy.
