William "Bill" Hasty

A Celebration of Life Service for William Talmadge “Bill” Hasty, 74, of Springfield, SC will be held at one o’clock p.m., Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Emmanuel Community Church, Springfield, SC with the Reverend Johnny Baker officiating. Bill passed away at home on Thursday, November 21, 2019.

Born in Siluria, AL, he was a son of the late Ernest Abraham Hasty and Lillian Estell Denham Hasty. Bill retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier and enjoyed fishing. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during Vietnam.

Survivors include his loving wife of 31 years Helen Fox Rogers Hasty; daughters Gretta Dawn (Dwayne) Page of Mt. Jullian, TN, Anna Hasty of Summerville, SC, Robin (Vashon) Clifton of Springfield, SC, April (Seneca) Drennan of Tulsa, OK; sons William (Sandy) Hasty of Charleston, SC, Christopher (Jamie) Hasty of Monks Corner, SC; brothers Simon (Elta) Hasty, Vernon (Sue) Hasty, Richard (Rachael) Hasty; 14 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother David Hasty.
