Stevie William Mitchell, Sr.

Funeral services for Stevie William Mitchell, Sr., 54, of Blackville, SC will be held eleven a.m., Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Willow Swamp Baptist Church, Norway, SC with the Reverend Steven Renew and Benjamin Harr officiating; burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Tuesday, August 14^th at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC. Stevie passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018.

Born in Bamberg County, SC, he was a son of the late Linwood William Mitchell and Mary Belle Vaughn Mitchell. He was a member of New Testament Baptist Church and retired as a Resin Technician having worked at Augusta Fiberglass for 32 years. Stevie loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors.

Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Lizzie Marie Chavis Mitchell; daughter Jennifer Marie (Allen) Hiott of Denmark; sons Stevie William (Dayna) Mitchell, Jr. Wesley William (Amy) Mitchell all of Blackville; grandchildren Alayna Mitchell, Stevie William Mitchell, III, Breanna Mitchell, Brooke Mitchell, Wesley Mitchell, Jr., Alex Grubbs; sisters Terry Sanders of Barnwell, Tammy Dailey of Lexington,; brother Allen Linwood Mitchell, Sr., of Erwin, TN; a special friend Angela McCall and a his special fluffy cat Simba.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Mary Sue Thompson, Lynn Mitchell and Judy Mitchell.
