Sara Ann (Diamond) Ott

August 29, 1936 ~ June 21, 2019 (age 82)

A Private Graveside Funeral Service for Sara Ann Diamond Ott, 82, of Springfield, SC will be held eleven a.m., Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the Barnwell United Methodist Church Cemetery, Barnwell, SC 29812, with her dear first cousin, Reverend Bill Geddings and Reverend Jared Pemper officiating. Mrs. Sara passed away Friday, June 21, 2019 at her residence.

Born in Barnwell she was a daughter of the late Barney L. Diamond and Jerusha Hiers Diamond Ellison. She was married to the late Nesbeth M. Ott.

Sara was a member of Springfield First Baptist Church where she served in the children’s nursery for many years and was a retired secretary from Savannah River Site. She dedicated her life to loving and serving her family.

Survivors include sisters Debbie Whittle of Springfield, Nadia (Larry) Bellamy of Sheldon, Becky (John David) Steverson of Springfield, Lynn (Wayne) Axson of North, and one brother Steve (Sherron) Ellison of Elgin, also beloved and cherished nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brother-in-law Larry Whittle.

Heartfelt appreciation is extended to Cathy (C.J.) Jeffcoat, devoted caregiver, Cassandra Brown and Hospice Care of South Carolina for the love and excellent care given to Sara. We are so grateful to friends for all the many thoughtful kindnesses shown.
