John Lee Curtis

Funeral services for John Lee Curtis, 75, of Denmark, SC will be held at three o’clock p.m., Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Reach Out Ministries, Barnwell, SC with the Reverend Don McCormick officiating; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from one-thirty p.m. until the time of the service at the church on Saturday. John passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019.

Born in Barnwell County, SC, he was a son of the late John Fred Curtis and Viola Dyches Infinger. He was a member of Reach Out Ministries and was a self-employed carpenter having owned and operated Curtis Construction. John loved to fish and enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include his children Debra (Richard) Ray of Hilda, John David (Dezeray) Curtis of Barnwell, Jamie (Kevin) Churchwell of Blackville, John Daniel (Kristen) Curtis of North Carolina, Clifford Curtis of Bamberg, James Allen (Cindy)  Giamportome of Beaufort; grandchildren Gabrielle, Robert, Adrienne, Landon Ray, Cy, Lexi, Kendra, Josh, Austin, Landon Curtis, Hailee, Ayden, Cliff, Jr., Shy’lo, David, and Brandon; a great grandson Tyler Hankins; 21 brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son Robert Sweatman.
