James Hardy

A Celebration of Life Service for James Thomas Hardy, 44, of Williston, SC will be held three o’clock p.m., Sunday, January 13, 2019 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend John O’Cain officiating. The family will receive friends from two p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Sunday. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959. James passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019.

Born in Homestead, FL, he was the son of Charles Thomas Hardy and the late Judith L. Johnson Hardy. He formerly owned and operated J. T. Customs where he handmade custom turkey and duck calls. He was previously employed with Collum Lumber having worked in various capacities. He was a hunting guide in Wyoming and also worked for Blackwater Hunting. James loved fishing, motocross and was a dirt bike racing champion. James attended Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and Rocky Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed singing karaoke.

Survivors include his father Charles of the home; his sister Laura H. Boyd of Manhattan, NY; aunts Ann Long of Irmo, SC; Kay (Michael) Shannon, Oro Valley, AZ.

In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his uncle Bud Long.
