Funeral services for Edgar Allan Brown Craig, 37, of Blackville, SC will be held eleven a.m., Thursday, January 10, 2019 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, Blackville, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choosing. Edgar passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019.
Edgar was born in Augusta, GA, he is a son of Emily Jefferies and David Thomas Craig. He attended Irmo High School, where he was a member of the ROTC, earned his CDL from Orangeburg Technical College and was on the President’s List. He worked as a truck driver for C4 Construction owned by his brother, Dave Craig. He attended Calvary Chapel in Williston and Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Elko, SC. Edgar had a true passion for politics; he read and studied politics keeping himself informed so he could converse with anyone about current political information. He enjoyed grilling, hunting, fishing and especially spending time with his family and his girlfriend, Taylor Owen.
In addition to his mother Emily and father David, survivors include a step-daughter Isabella Vasquez; his brother and sister-in-law Dave and Shannon Craig; niece Emma Grace; nephew Nolan Thomas; his paternal grandmother Patty Craig; a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and his four legged companion Roxie.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Richard M. Jefferies, Emily Brown Jefferies, paternal grandfather Ted Craig and uncle Kelly Craig.
