Dorothy "Dot" (White) Howard

Funeral services for Dorothy “Dot” White Howard, 65, of Williston, SC will be held at one o’clock p.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Young Rosemary Baptist Church with the Reverend Phinice Young officiating; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from five to seven p.m., Tuesday, January 7^th at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC. Memorial contributions may be given in Dot’s memory to Folk Funeral Home, P.O. Box 367, Williston, SC 29853. Dot passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2020.

Born in Barnwell County, she was a daughter of the late Prince White and Carrie Hallingquest White. She was a member of Young Rosemary Baptist Church. She previously worked as an in-home care-giver and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband of the home, Russell Howard; 2 sons Steven (Sophie) White, John White; 5 grandchildren Alexus White, Ashley White, Steven White, Jr., Jantave White, and Jantave Williams; 2 great grandchildren Nolan Chance Turner and Prince Anthony 2 sisters Elaine White and Ethel White; 6 brothers Herman Lee (Jannie Mae) White, Sammy Lee White, Barry White, Willie White, Bobby (Tina) White, Edgar “Charles” White and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sisters Sara Ann White, Carrie White, Beatrice White, Janie Marie Mitchell; brothers James White, Prince White, and Bennie White.
