Funeral services for Donald Ray “Slick” Youngblood, Jr., 53, of Williston, SC will be held at two o’clock p.m., Friday, January 17, 2020 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Reverends Wendall Bruner and Robert Mahuron officiating; burial will follow in the Williston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from twelve-thirty p.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Williston Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 367, Williston, SC 29853. Don passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020.
Born in Barnwell, SC, he was a son of the late Donald Ray “Doc” Youngblood, Sr. and Peggy Jamison Youngblood. Don was owner of Direct Tech, Inc. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed working and spending time with his granddaughter Oaklyn; he was looking forward to the arrival of his new grandson, Ripp.
Survivors include his wife Hope Cooper Youngblood of the home; sons Donald Ray (Chelsea) Youngblood, III of Williston, Kyle (Allie) Cook of North Augusta; daughters Savannah Youngblood of Greenville, Christin (Bubba) Crosby, Kara Cook all of Barnwell; sister Donna (Scott) Augustine; brother Carlton C. “Dab” (Shannon) Youngblood, Michael “Tony” (Pam) Cooper, Frederick W. “Ricky” (Fran) Cooper all of Williston; granddaughter Oaklyn Crosby; future grandson Ripp Youngblood; father and mother-in-law Billy and Faye Cooper; a number of nieces and nephews and his four-legged babies Baby Girl and Little Bit.
