Funeral services for Dolly Marie McWilliams Harmon, 72, of Barnwell, SC will be held three p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2019 Williston, SC in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Keith Murray and Mike Fourroux officiating with burial in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery by the airport. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be given to Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, P.O. Box 1178, Greenwood, SC 29648. Mrs. Dolly passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019.
Born in Lamar, SC, Dolly was a daughter of the late Robert Melvin McWilliams, Sr. and Sarah Emma Edwards McWilliams. She was a member of Williams’ Chapel Church of God in Aiken and was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church in Barnwell. Dolly was a loving mother and grandmother with an outgoing, fun-loving personality who had never met a stranger. She was known for her generous spirit and her love for others. She had many friends and church family; she dearly cherished each and every relationship. Dolly enjoyed reading, arts and crafts, games, fishing, singing in the church choir and serving others.
Survivors include her daughters, Marie Sox (Robbie) Peeples of Barnwell, Danielle Sartin of Greenwood; grandchildren, Cody, Dalton (Ashleigh Croft) and Christian Peeples all of Barnwell; sisters, Daphne Johanson of Tampa, FL, Joan (Jimmy) Hott of Columbia, SC; brothers, Robert “Bob” Melvin (Frances) McWilliams of West Columbia; Benjamin Ross McWilliams; special caretakers, Karena Pixley, Cynthia Richardson and niece, Mary Wood.
