Charlotte Harless Obituary

Charlotte Sartin Harless Entered into eternal rest.

Charlotte was a daughter of Virginia, both literally and figuratively.

Born to Virginia and Bill Sartin, she made Windsor SC her home after marriage then moved to her permanent home in Williston, SC.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by Brothers Virgil, Billy, Bobby, and Lynwood.

She is survived by sisters Faye Roop, Laylah Tate of VA; brother Joe Sartin of VA.; and grandmother to her first and only Grandchild, Monica Carpenter Havens and her husband Tim, both of Columbia, SC. As well as a beloved great Aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

Charlotte and husband of over 50 years Cecil Harless (CK to his friends and family) opened their home and heart to adopt their only child and gifted nurse of over 25 years, Charmaigne “Charlie” Carpenter and her husband Tommy both of Williston.

Charlotte was a giving spirit, and loved to volunteer her time in various projects. A jane of all trades, she would go from working the farmers market, to painting houses, meals on wheels, and was a EMT for a short time along with being a beautician.

Never one to stay put, she also divided her time between family, her garden, of which she had the upmost pride. She also spent many of her early years building lasting friendships at the First Baptist Church of Williston, and The Henhouse Ministry, and was an excellent quilter. She had a way of stitching both fabric and family together.

As she was the life and light of the family, she requests no funeral services to be held at this time, only a celebration of life will be held at the home of her daughter, 76 Keith Circle Williston SC, all are welcome to stop by, and per southern custom bring a dish or two in support of the family and in honor of her beautiful spirit. She will be buried beside her beloved husband in The Williston Cemetery. Loved by many she will return to the loving arms of her heavenly family, her heavenly father, and finally tell her husband she’s home.
