Funeral services for Brenda Ridgeway Aldrich, 70, of Williston, SC will be held four o’clock p.m., Sunday, December 23, 2018 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Rich Bowen officiating; burial will be in the Williston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Sunday.
Brenda passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018.
Born in Cleveland, AL, she was a daughter of the late James Oliver “J.O.” Ridgeway and Abbie Faye French Ridgeway. Brenda graduated from Lee College in TN with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and earned her Master’s in Education from the University of South Carolina in Columbia; she retired from Williston Elko Public Schools and later retired from Oakwood-Windsor Elementary School. She was a member of New Hope Worship Center in Evans, GA.
Survivors include her husband Larry Morris Aldrich of the home; her daughters Tracie (Carl) Williams of Williston, Kellie (Rodney) Bruner of Greenwood; son Kenny (Jenny) Aldrich of Lenoir City, TN; grandchildren Harrison Williams, Abigail Williams, Zackary Rhoden, Hayden Rhoden, Rylie Bruner, Micah Moss, Anabelle Aldrich, Elizabeth Aldrich; sister Diane McLean of Mills River, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law Michael “Mike” (Sandra) Ridgeway of Williston, David (Susan) Ridgeway of Aiken and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Larry McLean.
