Horace Eugene Croft July 29, 2010

Funeral services for Horace Eugene Croft, 87, of Williston, SC will be held eleven a.m., Saturday, July 31st in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston with the Reverends John Nixon and Marshall Still. Burial will be at the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery by the airport. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Friday, July 30th at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210-1790. Mr. Croft passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010.

Born in Barnwell County, SC, he was a son of the late Horace Grady Croft and Gertrude Morris Croft. He retired from E.I. DuPont where he worked in transportation and for more than 16 years he worked for Barnwell County Law Enforcement. He was a member of Barnwell Church of Christ.

Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Amelia C. Croft; sons, Gene (Brenda) Croft of Barnwell, Kenneth (Shannon) Croft of Williston, Jackie (Gayle) Croft and Wayne (Deborah) Croft all of Barnwell; brother, Grady Lee Croft, grandchildren, Sharon (Eddie) Still, Jonathan, Jennifer, Eric (Phyllis), Brad (Barbara), Nathan Croft, Heather (Guy) Hoffman; great grandchildren, Gene Still, Austin, Ashley, Josie, Collin, Hannah, Courtney and Dawn Croft; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters, Sadie Smith, Zelma Padgett, Frances Satterfield; brothers, Lee Hugh Croft and James Stanley Croft.
